Landscaping/Grounds - Monday to Friday, Days, F/T in Waterloo, IA. Pay Rate: $18/hr The Shift: Monday to Friday, Day hours The Position: We are looking for a full-time employee with a sense of ownership, a willingness to grow and advance, have an eye for detail and can perform efficiently in a physically demanding environment. Primary Responsibilities: • Perform groundskeeping and landscaping duties. • Mow lawn either by hand or using a riding lawnmower. • Cut lawn using hand, power or riding mower and trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls. • Landscape by planting flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushes. • Apply pesticide to rid grounds of pests such as mosquitos, wasps, ticks, and others. • Apply fertilizer to ground to enhance growth. • Shovel snow from walkways and sprinkle ice down to keep people from falling. • Sweep walkway of debris. • Cut down tree limbs that are posing a danger. • Trim shrubs and pull weeds. • Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in groundskeeping. • Install lawn furniture. • Rake, mulch, and prune the grounds as needed. • Install rock, cement, lighting, water, and furniture. • Water plants and grass as needed and apply fertilizer. • As needed, performs snow removal services to campus grounds including weekends, off scheduled hours, etc. • Other duties assigned. Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check. Must be authorized to work in the United States, EOE. Must be 18 years or over to apply. Must have valid driver's license and vehicle insurance. Must be able to lift 50 pounds • WEEKLY PAY!
