Greenhouse Production Line Supervisor - Hugo, MN

Position Summary The Hugo Production Assistant coordinates with the Production Manager in all soils, transplant, replug and quality control operations in Hugo. Core Expectations ·Perform and/or delegate to full time and seasonal employees the soils, transplant, replug, quality control and transportation tasks necessary in Hugo including but not limited to those listed under Primary Activities below. · Assist in providing training and instruction to staff in soils, transplant, replug and quality control techniques and machinery operation. ·Operate, troubleshoot and/or administer operation of soils, transplant, replug and quality control machinery, automation and software. ·Assist in estimating labor requirements, time needed for projects, space requirements and possible scheduling changes. Assist in tabulating and optimizing labor usage. ·Assist in ensuring completion of the weekly soils, transplant, replug and quality control schedules within allotted time. ·Constant monitoring of crops for optimum plant quality along with the Production Manager and Head Grower. ·Ensure all product handled by staff meets company and department quality and efficiency standards. ·Ensure self and staff compliance with company and department policies, procedures and protocols. ·Work with Production Manager to create and maintain department policies, procedures and protocols. ·Work with Production Manager to create and maintain consistent and proper documentation for crops to be handled by department. ·Coordinate with Production Manager and Head Grower on requirements of crop. Communicate with impacted staff members as changes occur. ·Recognize and maintain plants for possible disease, insect and physiological problems; partner with Production Manager and Head Grower to ascertain conditions. ·Work in cooperation with Production Manager to resolve product quality issues as they arise and address root causes with Head Grower. ·Float between departments and locations seasonally as needed.
