Role Description The farm company is seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Operations Program Manager to join our team. As a Field Operations Program Manager, this position will play a crucial role in the setup, maintenance, execution, and data collection of agricultural demonstration plots and field trial plots at the firm's Innovation Campus in Casselton, North Dakota. This position involves a combination of hands-on fieldwork, machinery operation, and data collection to support innovative agricultural research. The ideal candidate will have experience in farm operations as well as agricultural field research. Key Areas of Responsibility • Organize, supervise, and lead daily operations such as planting, spraying, seeding, harvesting, and data collection. • Create program plans for the upcoming season to include projected planting schedule, pest management plan, seed varieties, and crop rotation. • Collaborate with Project Management on site capabilities and capacities to plan trials. • Prepare and set up field trial locations, alleyways, and ensure proper soil preparation and layout. • Hire, train, and manage full time, part time, and seasonal workforce. • Organize, supervise, and participate in field trials in collaboration with partners and project managers. • Organize, supervise, and participate in overall site maintenance of the Innovation Campus. • Coordinate internal resources as well as contractors to accomplish position requirements. • Organize, supervise, and participate in crop sale and disposal. • Help to create and manage program budgets and track program expenses. • Source and purchase input materials for trials as well as the overall site. • Track and report on program operations and project statuses. • Collaborate with Project Management on data collection, reporting, and site safety. • Create and present reports to both internal and external stakeholders.
