Farm Outreach Coordinator

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Farm Outreach Coordinator manages programs and conducts outreach to identify underserved agricultural producers, with an emphasis on assisting beginning farmers in West Central Missouri with services, technical guidance, and educational programs. The FOC will manage the Beginning Farmer and Rancher Development project and co-chair New Growth’s annual Farm to Fork Summit. REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma. Experience in supporting farmers and knowledgeable of agricultural practices. Expertise in food-related small business operations. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience in public speaking, audio-visual presentations, and social media management. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office and possess the ability to use a variety of software applications including unit specific software. Ability to use basic office equipment (i.e., phone systems, copying machines, scanner/printers, and computers). Be a positive team player with excellent people skills. Have the ability to communicate and work professionally with all clients, co-workers, and the public with a positive attitude while motivating and inspiring others. Ability to handle sensitive agency and participant information in a confidential manner. This position requires maintaining a valid driver’s license and current auto liability insurance at all times.
