Sing Sing Farm aims to ensure a steady, fresh and healthy supply of produce that meets the highest culinary standards, aligning with the group’s commitment to exceptional dining experiences. Hand Hospitality will provide comprehensive infrastructure support to ensure the successful launch and operation of Sing Sing Farm. This includes investment in high-quality soil management, greenhouse facilities, irrigation systems, and sustainable farming equipment to optimize year-round production. Additionally, the farm manager will have access to logistical support for efficient transportation of fresh ingredients to the restaurants. Job Description Sing Sing Farm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Farm Manager to oversee and manage the entire farming operation from inception to completion. The Farm Manager will be responsible for overseeing the cultivation and production of high quality, sustainable ingredients to supply Hand Hospitality’s restaurants in NYC. This is a hands‑on position requiring strong agricultural knowledge, leadership skills, and a passion for sustainable farming. Farm Details & Work Expectations: • Location: Bloomingburg, New York • Farm Size: Approximately one (1) acre • Position Type: Full-time • Expected Hours: 32 to 50 hours per week, with seasonal variations In the first year, the primary expectations is to establish a strong foundation for the farm, focusing on soil enrichment, crop planning, and the successful test of key produce cultivation that aligns with the seasonal needs of Hand Hospitality’s restaurants. The goal is to build a reliable supply chain that enhances the quality and consistency of ingredients while embracing sustainable and regenerative farming practices. Desired Qualifications: • Significant hands‑on experience in organic farming, including soil management, crop production, irrigation, and pest control. • Strong understanding of organic, sustainable, and regenerative farming practices. • Experience operating and maintaining farm equipment and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: • Oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the farm, from crop planning to harvest. This includes managing planting schedules, soil health, irrigation, pest management, and other critical farming processes. • Implement sustainable and organic farming methods, ensuring all practices meet or exceed industry standards for organic certification and quality. • Work closely with the culinary team to identify and grow the specific vegetables, herbs, and other ingredients needed for the restaurants. Plan crop rotation and harvest schedules to ensure a continuous supply of fresh produce. • Manage all aspects of the farm’s physical operation, including the proper use of equipment, maintenance of farm structures, and upkeep of farming tools and resources. • Manage the farm’s budget, ensuring cost‑effective operations while maintaining high‑quality standards. Track expenditures and manage resources efficiently. • Keep detailed records of farm operations, including planting and harvest schedules, pest management, inventory, and financials. Provide regular reports to Hand Hospitality leadership. • Cultivate relationships with Hand Hospitality network and build relationships with chefs. • Regularly communicate with the chefs and restaurant management to ensure the farm produces the right quantity and variety of ingredients to meet the needs of Hand’s restaurants. • Continuously explore and implement innovative farming techniques that align with sustainability goals and contribute to the farm’s long‑term success. Compensation and Benefits: • Base Salary: $62,000- $70,000 per year (BOE). • Bonus: Performance‑based bonuses. • Paid Time Off (PTO). • Medical Insurance.
