Farm Equipment Operator

Overview Join our dynamic team as an Equipment Operator and play a vital role in maintaining and managing agricultural and farm operations. Responsibilities • Operate heavy machinery such as tractors, forklifts, irrigation equipment, and other farm machinery safely and efficiently to support planting, harvesting, and maintenance tasks. • Conduct routine inspections and perform preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal operation; perform repairs using hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, or specialized farm machinery. • Support growing activities by working closely and communicating with the irrigation team • Perform heavy lifting and manual labor necessary for farm setup, mechanics, crop planting, harvesting operations, or infrastructure projects. • Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, repairs, maintenance schedules, and operational logs. • Collaborate with team members to coordinate daily tasks efficiently while adhering to safety standards across all farm activities. • Use basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to planting or irrigation systems adjustments. • Support facility upkeep including fencing checks, yard audits, and emergency response procedures when needed. Experience • Proven experience operating heavy farm equipment such as tractors, forklifts, or other power tools in an agricultural setting is not required but desired. • Supervising experience in a farm or agricultural environment is highly desirable as our supervising positions are also open to fill at this time. All supervisors will be appointed based on observed job performance from division manager. • Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment using hand tools or welding techniques. • Experience working with irrigation systems and understanding of farming principles related to agriculture production. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks involving heavy lifting and long periods of standing or walking. • Basic math skills for measurements related to farming activities. • Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and farm maintenance.
