Estate Horticulturalist/Gardener

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Horticulturalist/Gardener/Housekeeper for a large estate home and two smaller homes in an exclusive gated South Fort Myers neighborhood. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining beautiful, healthy outdoor plant environments, ensuring that gardens, lawns, and landscape features thrive. Your expertise will help create inviting outdoor spaces that inspire and delight, contributing to the overall aesthetic and health of our green areas. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of trees, plants, tools, and techniques to bring landscapes to life with vitality and precision. You will also be responsible for the swimming pools maintenance. Duties & Experience • Prepare soil beds, planting areas, and containers using hand tools and power tools to ensure optimal conditions for growth. • Plant, transplant, prune, water, fertilize, and harvest a wide variety of trees and plants including flowers, shrubs, trees, etc.. • Manage irrigation systems efficiently by installing, repairing, and maintaining watering setups to promote healthy plant development. • Conduct regular lawn care activities such as mowing, edging, aerating, fertilizing, and weed control to maintain pristine turf conditions. • Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mulching, pruning, trimming hedges, and removing debris to keep outdoor spaces tidy and attractive. • Monitor plant health regularly; identify pests or diseases early and implement appropriate treatment measures. • Use a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to carry out all gardening tasks with precision. • Must have extensive knowledge of all types and varieties of trees, plants, flowers, shrubs and the care needed in the Florida climate. • Must have knowledge of Zoysia lawns and the care needed to keep it healthy. • Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm work schedule Job Type: Full-time Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Application Question(s): • do you have a clean background? no felonies. • can you pass a drug test? • do you have any visible tattoos?
