Cooler Production Worker (Greenhouse Facility)

Job Title: Cooler Production Worker Reports To: Production Management FLSA Status: Non-Exempt About Us: Fresh Local Produce of Ohio LLC is an advanced hydroponic greenhouse with its own packing and shipping facility. We provide our local communities with fresh, safe and great tasting lettuce all year round. Hours: The facility operates 7 days a week with most workers at 30 hours a week. Production is 1st shift starting at around 8am. Schedules and hours are flexible but must have some weekend availability. Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned): 1. Performs packing and palletizing of our lettuce products. 2. Ensures all machinery is working efficiently and report any issues immediately to a management team member. 3. Provides quality checks on all finished product before putting into shipping cases. 4. Restocks trays, boxes, and other manufacturing supplies. 5. Moves all finished product to shipping area and ensures labels on pallets are correct. 6. Responsible for helping maintain cleanliness of facility at all times. 7. Understands tasks needed to be completed each shift. 8. Functions as a team member, and flexible to work in various departments of the green house. 9. Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety procedures including biosecurity and food safety protocols. 10. Participates in employee trainings when scheduled to benefit employees working progress. Qualifications: • Highschool Graduate/ GED (preferred) • Previous Production or Greenhouse Experience (preferred) • Reliable Transportation (Required) • Must be able to work some weekends Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, loud to moderate noise levels, and cold temperatures(non-weather). The employee may occasionally be exposed to airborne particles, heat (non-weather), humidity (non-weather), strong smells, dust, and chemicals. Personal protective equipment and employee uniforms are provided for all employees. Uniforms are laundered onsite and temperature appropriate per working area.
