JOB DUTIES: General plant care which includes, but is not limited to, watering, pruning, sprouting, transplanting, irrigation, fertilizing, mixing and spraying pesticides, weed removal, leaf and debris pick-up, and pot washing. • Keeping greenhouse clear of weeds by periodic herbicide application. • Basic irrigation maintenance and repair. • Communicates and interacts with the public and others in a courteous and professional manner. • Perform other duties as assigned by management. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of basic plant cultivation. • Skill in working with hand and gardening tools. • Ability to work in a greenhouse environment. • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and bend repetitiously. • Ability to work outdoors in hot, cold, and humid environments. • Ability to walk on uneven ground and in inclement weather.
